Sarah is planning an overseas holiday with her husband and two daughters and is looking for some suggestions to ease the pain of long haul flights with her new baby and toddler.
“We’ve just booked our first family holiday abroad and I’m so excited! We’re going to Australia to stay with my aunt and uncle and I can’t wait for them to meet the kids. The only thing I’m nervous about is the journey as it will be a 26 hour trip with a baby and a toddler. My youngest daughter Lucy will be 4 months old and Sienna is almost 3 and very active so I’m expecting it to be a total nightmare!
Also I’m unsure as to what to take on the flight and if there is anything we absolutely need to remember to bring. Is it a good idea to take a pram or will it just be too much hassle to lug around with us? As Lucy will be sitting on my lap most of the time, is there any way to make that more bearable? If anyone has any advice on entertaining them for the journey that would be fantastic too.”
Do you have any experience of long distance travel with a baby? Do you have any advice that can help Sarah ensure her long haul flight goes as smoothly as possible? If so, please share your thoughts and help Sarah. By answering a few questions you may be able to help Sarah and others like her who are embarking on an overseas adventure with their family. Thanks, Shona x
